Fri 9 Apr 2021 In memory of HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinbugh

A single bell was tolled at 12 noon on Saturday 10th, to mark the passing of HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinbugh. RIP

The service on Sunday began with a minutes silence, appropriate hymns chosen including Eternal Father, Strong to Save and ended with the National Anthem to pay our respects to His Royal Highness and show our respects to HRH the Queen and the Royal Family at this difficult time.

Mon 5 Apr 2021 Easter Bunnies

Many thanks to everyone who knitted Easter bunnies, provided creme eggs to go inside them, and distributed them around the town. We hope it helped spread the Easter message to residents of Sandbach.

Fri 19 Feb 2021 Bingo Night, on-line

Bingo with playing cards. You need 2 packs of playing cards, discs or buttons to place, make a grill 5 cards across and 5 down, 25 cards.

Caller shuffles second pack of cards and deals calling the numbers ,first person to win a row shouts Bingo, and it follows on from there.

Between 10am - 12pm you can exchange your completed Nativity trail worksheets for a goody bag.  This bag will contain all the ingredients you need for a Christingle. There will be an on-line christingle service on our Facebook page on the 19th at 12noon

Sat 5 Dec 2020 Nativity trail

There are three ways that you can enjoy are trail marked with stars to show the level of difficulty.  Download, print out and have FUN. They are labelled Star 1, Star2, Star3, depending on the level of difficulty. Once completed the worksheets can be exchanged for a goody bag on 19th December 2019 10am-12noon. St Mary’s Church, Sandbach – Photo Challenge

Bee has put together a ‘photo challenge’ which she will be doing throughout advent.  It will help her to wait purposefully and thoughtfully, Bee would love it if you joined in with her.

Simply take a picture that connects with the designated word for the day and tag St Mary’s on Facebook or Instagram.  It will be wonderful to see what images and inspiration that you come up with.  It may help us all to notice different views and appreciate a fresh the normal things of life!

If restrictions allow we are looking to put Christmas angels on to a tree as part of a service.  If you are a knitter and are willing to help please get in touch with the church warden and a pattern can be sent to you by email or post.

It is confirmed that Sunday service will be conducted through Zoom. Anyone wishing to take part please give your details to the church Wardens, and the details can be sent out to you.
