Sun 17 May 2020 New Bishop of Chester

It was announced on 12th May, by Downing Street, that the new Bishop of Chester has been appointed.

He is the  Rt Revd Mark Tanner. He is currently the Bishop of Berwick in the Diocese of Newcastle. He will be the 41st Bishop of Chester. We wish him all the best in his new post, and look forward to meeting him.

Sat 2 May 2020 Update from the PCC

The PCC were able to meet by zoom this week.

During this difficult time when our church buildings are closed, we are still a church; meeting virtually for prayer services and fellowship, loving our neighbours by offering practical support to the vulnerable, and caring for our communities.

As a direct result of the church closure, these important activities are being hindered by a significant reduction in our funding. Therefore, we are asking you to help improve the current level of funding by considering the following alternatives:

Sun 26 Apr 2020 Hymns on Sunday

Kevin is playing hymns from his home on a Sunday at 10am if you wish to listen to them, or sing along. It is on the Facebook page.Have a hymn book ready for the words. I have uploaded some music here if you don't have FB

Church Lawton have very kindly said we can take part in their on-line service on Facebook: 10:45am and 7pm

Sun 12 Apr 2020 Easter Sunday

Due to social distancing here will be no service at St Mary's.At 10am St Marys are being invited to sing 'Jesus Christ is Risen Today'. If you would like to listen to a service a couple of options are: BBC 1 Sunday Worship or  Radio 4 Morning Worship

Sun 5 Apr 2020 Palm Sunday

There are a number of places you can take part in a Palm Sunday service on-line and on the television:

Opening of the church. We are pleased to report that more visitors have entered the church since the new opening hours began. We are open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Wed 25 Dec 2019 Christmas Day Lunch

Christians Together in Sandbach. This is for anyone who would otherwise be spending Christmas Day alone. Also we need helpers from 12 noon onwards to serve the meals. Please contact Katie 01270 760270, or Joan.

The Christmas Lunch will be held in the Church Hall 12:15pm for 12:30pm. Tickets will be on sale soon from the social committee or church warden, and Thursday Teas.
